Last March, we discovered yet another jewel of the south, Downtown Blue Ridge GA. Since then, we’ve been back three times, continuing where we left off from the previous visit. The quaint downtown area contains many excellent restaurants that have quickly become our favorites.
The Downtown Area
These are just some of the businesses on East Main Street in the heart of downtown.

I saw this sign in a window and thought it was kind of funny. Maybe next time. 😬
524 East Main Street
For inventive and delicious soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and desserts, Cantaberry is a great choice.
Masseria Kitchen & Bar
67 Roberts Way
One short block from East Main Street through the Mustard Seed & Mulberry courtyard pictured above is a special find, Masseria Kitchen & Bar. We’ve spent countless hours at their craft bar, enjoying fantastic food and creative cocktails.
588 E. Main Street
Treo is located in the Mustard Seed & Mulberry courtyard and includes an outdoor bar and patio seating. These are just some of the standouts we’ve had.
The Vine Wine Bar & Bistro
632 East Main Street
Just up the street is The Vine Wine Bar & Bistro. They offer an extensive selection of wines, a few beers, tasty light bites, and wine and chocolate pairings on Friday nights.
Desserts & Sweets
The Chocolate Express
634 East Main Street
Right next door to The Vine is The Chocolate Express. Each time I step foot inside, the smell of chocolates wafting through the air fills my senses.
I made a collage of my favorite plaques on their walls…and I wholeheartedly agree with each statement. 😜
The Sweet Shoppe*
576 East Main St, Suite D
In the Mustard Seed & Mulberry courtyard is The Sweet Shoppe, winner of season 6 of Cupcake Wars. Their cupcakes, cakes, and cookies are among the best I’ve had! It’s easy to see why they won.
We’ve stayed in this one bedroom penthouse suite twice, rented from Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals. It is such a beautiful suite and, being right in the heart of downtown, is walking distance to everything. The entrance door to the elevator leading up to the suite is adjacent to Treo’s outdoor bar…best location ever! We could literally fall out of our bar chairs and have a short crawl to the door, it’s that close! 🤣
Blue Ridge Scenic Railway
The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is located one block from East Main Street. You can see the Mustard Seed Building in the background.
Needless to say, downtown Blue Ridge has a special place in our hearts, and we can’t wait to return!
